WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET KIDS TO THE DENTIST?
We know. Your life is crazy busy, full of sport, teacher appointments, doctors, play dates, more sport. And you still have to think about your children’s teeth.
When you were a child, dental practice was a bit more ‘set and forget’. You arrived, had a filling (or not), paid and went home. These days, your dentist gives you so much more. Here at Boulton Dental, we focus on PREVENTION of decay and other problems. (Even the Federal Government has recognised dental decay and periodontal disease as chronic diseases – so that’s the way we deal with them.)
We encourage regular appointments based on your risk of further problems so we can detect issues early (before they become expensive to treat). Bottom line: Taking care of your family’s oral health will save you money over the long term.
We even offer to visit your child’s preschool or childcare centre and give a fun presentation to teach children about oral health.
Part of that presentation is about food and drink choices. You can help your child in a number of ways simply by offering fewer carbohydrates and drinks high in sugars.
Kids love coming to us; they love sitting in the big chair, lying back and watching TV on the ceiling. It’s a treat that never grows old.
Our oral health therapists are highly skilled at treating children and reassuring them so they’re comfortable.
