Before & After Smile Images

Patient Concerns:

  • 6 old porcelain veneers were starting to stain around the edges and the gums had receded a lot exposing the root surface.
  • The colour of the old porcelain veneers was too yellow for the patients liking.

Treatment provided:

  • 8 new porcelain veneers with a lightly lighter/whiter colour.

Patient Concerns:

  • Chipping and discolouration of the old composite veneers.
  • The lateral incisors being disproportionately smaller than the central incisors.

Treatment Provided:

  • 8 new composite veneers using the Bioclear method of injection moulding using heated composite resin to replace the old veneers.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient had recently had composite veneers placed elsewhere and did not like the length, shape or the thickness.
  • They also felt the colour was too matte in its finish.
  • Inability to floss between some teeth (stuck together)

Treatment Provided:

  • Remove the existing composite veneers and then let the gums settle for 4 weeks due to the large amount of inflammation for the ill-fitting margins.
  • 16 hand crafted composite veneers using the Bioclear method.

Patient Concerns:

  • Spaces in between the teeth and chipping that had started to occur.

Treatment provided:

  • Using the Bioclear Method, composite resin the chipping and spaces were closed and the teeth lengthened to keep them from being too wide.

Patient Concerns:

  • Old composite veneers were worn, chipped and discoloured.
  • When they smiled it was very dark down the back of the mouth.

Treatment Provided:

  • 8 Bioclear composite veneers where hand crafted to replace and old 6 composite veneers and build up the posterior part of the smile.

Patient Concerns:

  • The patient did not like the gap in between their lower teeth. Initially, this patient thought that the teeth had to be moved by orthodontics to close the space. Therefore had put this off for years due to not wanting to wear braces.

Treatment Provided:

  • This treatment was completed in 60 minutes by adding composite resin to the teeth either side of the gaps. This was done using the Bioclear matrix system.  We were able to do this without using any local anaesthetic due to the treatment being purely ‘additive dentistry’.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient has concerns about the gaps between their teeth.
  • Chipping and unevenness.
  • There was a peg lateral tooth on the left hand side and a missing lateral incisor on the right hand side.

Treatment Provided:

  • There was a combination of treatment with achieve this result.
  • First the patient had 9 months of clear aligner orthodontic treatment to move the teeth into a better position.

Then his bite was raised by 2mm with composite veneers using the Bioclear method of injection moulding with heated composite.  On the same day the missing tooth was replaced with a porcelain Emax Maryland bridge made with the CEREC machine (same day crown machine).  In this case the restorative phase of this patients treatment was done on the same day over two appointments.

Patient Concerns:

  • The 4 anterior teeth had old composite veneers that were discoloured, uneven and rough.

Treatment Provided:

  • The treatment was to replace the 4 old composite veneers with new Bioclear composite veneers using heated composite and the injection moulding technique.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient was concerned about the extensive wear on the upper and lower teeth and the chipping of the old composite veneers.
  • There is was also extensive wear on the posterior teeth.

Treatment Provided:

  • The treatment was completed over three consecutive days.
  • On day one the 6 old upper composites veneers were replaced with 8 Bioclear
  • On day two the lower 8 anterior teeth were built up with 8 Bioclear
  • On day three the upper and lower posterior teeth were built up with composite. There is a 4mm change/or increase in the bite.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient was concerned that their teeth were chipped and grey. Bleaching did not achieve the result the patient was after.
  • They also did not like the recession around the gums.

Treatment Provided

  • The treatment to correct this was 8 handcrafted Bioclear composite veneers using the injection moulding technique.

The after photo is immediately post op on the day of completion due to the patient having to travel a distance so the gums have not healed in this final photo.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient did not like the greyness of their teeth and the chipping.
  • They also felt like the teeth were a little short due to the wear over the years.

Treatment provided:

  • 6 Bioclear composite veneers where used to achieve this result.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient was initially referred to an orthodontist. We were considering moving the teeth before replacing badly stained and discoloured composite veneers on the two central incisors.
  • The patient wanted teeth that were all aligned and the same colour. They felt that the 2 central incisors where “too bucky”.  The orthodontist was not able to get the teeth into an ideal position.  So orthodontic treatment was not started.

Treatment Provided:

  • Instead the patient returned and decided to achieve the result that they wanted by using 8 lab made porcelain veneers.
  • This was done over 3 appointments. The patient had temporary veneers on for 2 weeks before the final porcelain veneers where issued.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient did not like their smile.
  • The crookedness of the teeth had been an issue for years.
  • Along with the different colours/shades through the enamel.

Treatment Provided:

  • Over three appointments the desired result was achieved with 8 lab made porcelain Emax veneers.
  • This patient had temporary veneers for 2 weeks while the final porcelain veneers were being made.

Patient Concerns:

  • The composite veneers on the two front teeth had broken a couple of times and they were very discoloured.
  • The gaps in between the teeth had been a minor concern but the patient wasn’t worried if the gap remained.

Treatment Provided

  • Over three appointment a combination of lab made Emax porcelain crowns and veneers where made for the 8 upper anterior teeth and then 2 composite veneers where placed on the second premolars (5th tooth back from the midline).

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient did not like the gap between the front teeth.  There was chipping and staining of old composite on the two front teeth.  The left front tooth has also been rotated relative to the right one.

Treatment Provided:

  • The treatment was done over two appointments with lab made Emax porcelain crowns.

Patient Concerns:

  • This patient has a deciduous (baby) canine tooth that was initially very short compared to the adjacent teeth. It was also darker in colour and the tooth pointed towards the lip at the biting surface more than the area around the gum.

Treatment Provided:

  • There were several phases to this treatment (some which are not shown here).  Some of the gum was removed (gingivectomy) around the tooth and make the crown appear longer.  This had to heal for 6 weeks.  Then the second phase was to reshape the tooth with a Bioclear composite veneer using the injection moulding technique with heated monolithic composite resin.

Patient Concerns:

  • Greying and yellowing of their teeth
  • Chipping and mottling shades/colours throughout the enamel.

Treatment Provided:

  • Using the Bioclear method of injection moulding with 8 composite veneers.

Patient Concerns:

  • Old composite veneers that were starting to go yellow and staining.
