According to Orthodontics Australia, around 55% of Australians are unhappy with their teeth, and 60% wish they could do something to correct their crooked smiles. A few decades ago, cosmetic dentistry was reserved for the rich and famous, but now, cosmetic dentistry is far more affordable and convenient, with payment options like ZipMoney and Afterpay available to help cover the costs.
At Boulton Dental, we offer an incredible range of treatment options to restore your smile, no matter the damage. We will assess the condition of your teeth and offer treatment recommendations like teeth whitening, veneers and dental implants, depending on your needs. Plus, we’ll work hard to find the most cost-effective cosmetic dentistry in Newcastle — totally transparent, no surprises.

Boulton Dental is the team of cosmetic dentists Newcastle can trust for stunning, successful results. Don’t believe us? Our Smile Gallery is filled with incredible transformations, from stained teeth to brilliant white smiles, complete smile makeovers, and more!
We want to see our patients smile with confidence. With this in mind, we offer an extensive range of cosmetic dentistry treatments!
A “smile makeover” is where we combine multiple cosmetic dental treatments to create your brand new smile. This process can involve teeth whitening, dental veneers, crowns, bridges, a gum lift, dental implants, braces and even facial surgery, depending on the condition of your teeth and gums.
Each smile makeover is tailored to the patient’s needs and appearance — for example, we consider the patient’s skin tone, hair and eye colour, face shape, and gum contour long before we start the treatment. We want to ensure your new smile blends seamlessly into your look!
Want a brighter, whiter smile? We offer two professional teeth whitening options at Boulton Dental: take-home trays and Opalescence Go.

Invisalign Go is a near-invisible teeth alignment system. Using a series of custom-made, removable aligners (like mouthguards), you can gently straighten your teeth without unsightly braces! This simple, effective technology will gradually move your teeth into the desired position.
Invisalign takes some work and commitment, but the results are worth it. You will have to wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours daily. We only recommend taking them out for eating and brushing your teeth.
We will need to see you every six to eight weeks to check your progress and provide the next set of aligners.
Among our cosmetic dental treatments, we also offer porcelain and composite dental veneers.
Porcelain veneers are thin porcelain shells that cover chipped, misaligned, misshapen, gapped or discoloured teeth, so long as the underlying tooth is healthy. Porcelain veneers are exceptionally strong and resistant to staining, which is why they’ve been a popular treatment option for decades!
Composite veneers are a less-invasive alternative to porcelain veneers. Your dentist will layer composite material to the tooth’s front surface and use intense UV light to cure and harden the composite material. Then, we’ll contour and polish the tooth to create a natural-looking result!
Your Newcastle cosmetic dentist might recommend crowns to save and strengthen a tooth that has been damaged badly due to decay, trauma, root canal therapy, cracks, and general wear and tear.
Made from porcelain, zirconia, and metal alloy, your dental crowns will match the adjacent teeth’ colour and shape! We work alongside a local dental laboratory that manufactures our crowns. We also have Cerec same-day crowns — this machine takes a 3D scan of your teeth, and then we manufacture your new crown over the next hour and a half. Then the crown is ready to be cemented.
Dental bridges replace missing teeth and are used as an alternative to dental implants. Bridges can improve and maintain your profile, appearance and speech; prevent stress and load on adjacent teeth; stop the teeth from shifting; and improve chewing capabilities.
A bridge consists of artificial teeth anchored to the adjacent teeth and is one of the simpler cosmetic dental procedures to complete!
If you’re looking for a convenient, longer-term solution to missing teeth, your cosmetic dentist might recommend dental implants instead. A dental implant is a fine titanium screw placed into the lower jawbone to replace a missing tooth. Once the implant is integrated into the jawbone, it becomes a solid foundation for a porcelain crown or bridge!
At Boulton Dental, we understand dental anxiety can be challenging to maintain a beautiful, healthy smile. In fact, one in six Australian adults (one in 10 children) suffer from dental anxiety, making it one of the most prevalent anxiety disorders in the country.
We’re committed to ensuring our patients feel safe, secure and relaxed at our practice. If you suffer from dental anxiety, call ahead of time, and we’ll establish a plan of action for your cosmetic dentistry appointment, including hand signals, breaks, deep breathing, soothing music, and more.
You also have the option to choose a male or female dentist, depending on your needs!

It depends on what kind of treatment you need. However, we go above and beyond to make our cosmetic dentistry services as affordable as possible, so we’ve introduced Afterpay and Zip Money! You can pay off your cosmetic dental treatment in several instalments rather than a lump sum.
Yes, we offer HICAPS so you can receive an instant rebate from your health fund. However, checking that cosmetic dentistry is covered under your extras with your health fund is important. Otherwise, we also accept VISA, Mastercard, AMEX and cash.
There’s no need to panic! If the whole tooth is out of its socket, pick it up while avoiding touching the root. Rinse the tooth with milk or water for a couple of seconds and carefully put it back into its original position in your mouth. Then, come and see us ASAP. Just call us at (02) 4961 6300 to book an emergency appointment, and we’ll do everything we can to save your tooth!
